When we asked which of the TT concepts you’d like Audi to build, most votes went to the Sportback Concept. Like the Offroad Concept, it isn’t really road legal, but Auto Week has managed to get behind the wheel.

The Dutch reviewer was only allowed to drive them at 15 km/h or ~9 mph and he was escorted by a police motorbike all through the run, so he doesn’t do any kind of vigorous driving.

As you may probably be aware, it’s the Offroad and not the Sportback that has the higher chance of reaching production. It would be pitched as a MINI Countryman, Lexus NX or Ranger Rover Evoque rival, although it would probably not be designed with any kind of off-road capability in mind.

If or when it does arrive on the market, it will most likely be a poster vehicle for all-electric or plug-in hybrid tech.
